COVID-19

Returning to Gymnastics & Cheer-Leading during CoVid- 19

With the Support of Sport Ireland and National Governing Body Cheer Sport Ireland we have developed our Plan to Return.

It is our intention to cautiously commence the phased reopening of our gym, in line with all up-to-date government safety directives.

At the present time, we are unfortunately unable to commit to a precise date of when full group sessions will begin. However, having completed a rigorous risk assessment, we are confident that with the correct protocol, we WILL now be in a position to begin sessions (that focus on skills and drills and that do not require any apparatus).

In order to be compliant, communication between the facility, club and parents will be of paramount importance: Organising the arrival and departure times of all Athletes will effectively ensure that we have safety guidelines of our Club in line with the government requests and our risk assessment in line at any time.

It is our intention to split the club coaches into six groups. Effectively, these six pods of coaches will not cross paths. Strict hygiene and social distancing measures will also be implemented both during and in between Athlete’s classes, in order to fulfill the complex per-requisites of the risk assessment.

Rest assured that we have all current policies and procedures in place in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and we feel passionate that we have given extensive thought to the mitigation of risk within the training environment as far as we possibly can. On a daily basis, we will endeavor to cross-check government guidance regarding our risk assessments and will amend accordingly.

Our Policy Document and our First Aid Policy will be adapted to reflect current guidance.

Of course, our Athletes are at the heart of everything we do, and our number one priority is to open the Club and start training as soon as possible. However, we want to reassure you that the safety and well-being of our Coach’s and Athletes is of absolute paramount importance. Therefore, we will continue to do our upmost to remain vigilant and responsive.

Due to the re-structure of classes we can only welcome 33 Athlete’s per class.

We have had to reduce the time of the class to allow for a 15min clean down between each class.

We will be introducing a New Payment System. When a Club place is accepted the Club will request payment in full within seven days, if payment fails to be made we will then offer the place to another child on our waiting list.
